Jerusalem24 – Yesterday, Monday, the Israeli forces arrested a young man in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood of occupied Jerusalem. Local sources said that the Israeli forces arrested Mahmoud Salah, a resident of Silwan, while he was in Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood.
Salah was there in solidarity with the residents of the neighborhood against the Israeli decision to demolish the solidarity tent inside the neighborhood. Activists a staged a sit-in today in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, which is threatened with the forced eviction of its residents in Jerusalem, in rejection of the decision of the Israeli authorities to demolish two solidarity tents in the center of the neighborhood.
Later in the evening, Israeli forces arrested two young men at the Damascus Gate near the old city of Jerusalem. Eyewitnesses reported that the two men were stopped by the Israeli forces, interrogated in the street before being arrested.
