Israeli minister calls for writing off Palestinian Authority debt

He also stressed the need for the Israeli government to strengthen the Palestinian Authority's presence and work to strengthen it

Jerusalem24 – Today, Sunday, Israeli Minister of Regional Cooperation, Issawi Frej, of the left-wing Meretz party called on the government in Tel Aviv to work to “save the Palestinian Authority from collapse” by writing off all its debts.

In an interview with the Israeli newspaper, Yedioth Ahronoth, Freij stressed the need for the Israeli government to strengthen the Palestinian Authority’s presence and work to strengthen it economically.

The Israeli daily, Ha’aretz, reported a few days ago that Freej decided to activate the joint economic committee, which will discuss providing facilities to the Palestinian Authority soon.
