Al-Husseini said after the demolition of his house, which houses 8 people, “My heart is breaking, I will sleep in the car, may God be with all our people.”
The Israeli authorities had forced 8 Jerusalemite families to demolish their homes last week, otherwise they would be forced to pay the demolition costs, which are estimated at 200,000 shekels.
This comes at a time when the Israeli municipality continues to distribute dozens of notices to Jerusalemite families, especially in the town of Silwan, South of alAqsa Mosque, giving them 48 hours to demolish their homes, claiming that they were built without a permit.
