General strike in the city of Umm alFahem
Clashes erupted in the city after the announcement that 17-year-old Muhammad Kiwan died from his injuries.

Jerusalem24 – Today, Thursday, the city of Umm al-Fahm announced a general strike in all public and private facilities, following the death of the 17-year-old boy, Muhammad Mahmoud Kiwan, who succumbed to his critical injury after being shot at by Israeli police.
Kiwan’s family, the municipality of Umm al-Fahm, the Popular Committee and the High Follow-Up Committee for Arab Affairs held the Israeli authorities full responsibility for the assassination of the child, considering the actions of the Israeli police as part of the war crimes it has committed in Gaza, Sheikh Jarrah, the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
His family said in a statement: “The news of the martyrdom of our righteous son, Muhammad Mahmoud Yusef Kiwan, the martyr of Al-Aqsa, who was assassinated by the Israeli police after being treacherously shot and killed on Wednesday May 12, 2021, at the junction of the Mi’ami settlement, which lies on our lands.”
The family indicated that the death of Muhammad, in the city of Umm al-Fahm, and Musa Hassouna, in the city of Lod, is only part of the killing policies that are practiced against Palestinians on a daily basis.
Clashes erupted in the wake of a late-night rally in the city, after the announcement yesterday that the 17-year-old boy, Muhammad Mahmoud Yusef Kiwan, died from his injuries due to gunfire from the Israeli police.
