Unprecedented marches are taking place in American streets.

The protesters were calling for an end to the Israeli occupation of Palestine

Jerusalem24 – The marches condemning the continuous Israeli aggression against our people have continued in most of the major American states for more than a week, as huge marches roamed the streets of Washington, Chicago, New York, California, Texas, and Philadelphia, united under the Palestinian flag and one voice, calling for an end to the Israeli bombing of Gaza, and calling for an end to the practices of settlers against defenseless citizens.

It is noteworthy that a large number of Americans participated in these demonstrations, as well as continued support through social media platforms, to demand the provision of livelihoods for Palestinians in freedom and dignity, and in an independent state, an end to the occupation, and an end to the Israeli crimes against them.

Palestinian activist Firas Al-Tirawi stressed the importance of these demonstrations and the need to continue them in American cities, to exert more pressure on decision-makers, to take practical steps to stop the aggression and protect the Palestinian people, holy sites, and neighborhoods in occupied Jerusalem.

Al-Tirawi added that the wide participation in some marches exceeded 25 thousand participants, such as the Chicago city march in the state of Illinois and others. “It is a clear message that the world stand with the legitimate rights of our people,” stressed Al-Tirawi.

He also pointed out that the participation showed harmony between all sects and stripes of the Palestinian people in conveying their unified message to the world.

For his part, Attia Attia, a member of the Palestinian-American coalition from California, stressed the importance of these marches, in which the participants demanded the American administration to stop its financial support for the occupying state and lift the political cover from it, to assure the American community that Jerusalem for is a red line, and no one is allowed to cross it. And that the Israeli authorities must stop their aggression without any delay.
