Egypt intends to send two delegations to Gaza and Israel to stop the escalation

Jerusalem24 – Israeli media reported on Wednesday morning that Egypt is striving to restore calm between Israel and the Gaza Strip.
The Israeli newspaper ‘Maariv’ quoted Arab media outlets that an Egyptian security delegation will enter Gaza today, to conduct negotiations on a ceasefire.
According to the newspaper, another Egyptian delegation will come to Israel simultaneously, in order to pressure the two sides to stop the escalation immediately.
Palestinian and Egyptian sources told “Haaretz” newspaper this morning (Wednesday) that the ceasefire talks between Hamas and Israel continued until yesterday noon, but they stopped after Israel assassinated three leaders of one of the factions. On the other hand, political sources in Israel said that Israel had rejected Hamas’s request to discuss the ceasefire that was passed through international mediators.
