Settler attacks woman in Jerusalem, cuts her lip and forehead with a sharp object
This was not the first attack she experienced
Jerusalem24 – Sahar Nasser Abdeen, 29 years old was attacked by an Israeli settler in Jerusalem as she was leaving the alAqsa Mosque on her way home.
Abdeen is Sheikh Amer Abdeen’s wife, the imam of the alAqsa Mosque, who said that he left his wife at the alAqsa Mosque and headed to his home near the Chainس Gate after Dawn Prayers. She had left at sunrise, and on her way home in an empty street a settler attacked her while she was alone.
He added that his wife was attacked with a sharp object cutting her lip and forehead, and two Palestinian youth who happened to pass by and came to her aid.
The police who arrived at the scene, as the old city is filled with cameras, took her to a police station near the Jaffa Gate and called Sheikh Amer to see his wife.
Abdeen said that “they called me to arrive at the station, took a statement from my wife and told us that they arrested the settler.” He added that “We believe nothing will happen to him.”
This isn’t the first time that Sahar Abdeen was attacked by settlers. She went through a similar experience several months ago at the Chains Gate.
