Palestine records 2338 new coronavirus cases, 31 deaths in 24 hours – Health Minister

Over 19000 people vaccinated

Jerusalem24 – Palestinian Health Minister, Mai Alkaila announced today, Monday, that a total of 2338 new coronavirus cases and 31 deaths were recorded in the West Bank and Gaza Strip in the last 24 hours. No data was available from East Jerusalem.

She said in her daily report on the coronavirus pandemic in Palestine that the West Bank recorded 1980 new cases, 25 deaths, and 1378 recoveries, while the Gaza Strip had 358 new cases, six deaths, and 156 recoveries.

Alkaila said 198 corona patients are in intensive care units, including 60 who are on ventilators.

She also said that in the corona vaccination rollout which began yesterday in Palestine, 6866 people were vaccinated in the West Bank and 12267 people in the Gaza Strip.
