500 new settlement units in Jerusalem
Last year recorded the fastest pace of Israeli settlement activity in the occupied Palestinian territories in 20 years.
Jerusalem24 – The occupation authorities recently approved the construction of 530 settlement units in occupied Jerusalem, days before the US President-elect Joe Biden assumed office.
The Hebrew Channel 20 reported that 400 settlement units would be built in the “Gilo” settlement south of the city.
The day before yesterday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu instructed the competent authorities to work on approving the construction of 800 settlement units in the West Bank, distributed among several settlements, and a session in this regard will be held next Sunday.
