Israeli flight enters Moroccan Airspace
The delegation's agenda includes signing economic agreements.
Jerusalem24 – An Israeli flight carrying the joint Israeli-American delegation entered Moroccan airspace, a short while ago, as the flight traffic monitoring website “Flight Radar” has shown.
The plane was the first direct commercial flight between Israel and Morocco that took off earlier today, from Ben Gurion Airport near Tel Aviv. The journey takes about 6 hours.
The flight path was over the Mediterranean, Italy, France and Spain, all the way to Morocco.
The delegation includes the US President’s senior adviser, Jared Kushner, and the US envoy to the Middle East, Avi Berkowitz, in addition to Israeli National Security Adviser Meir Ben Shabat.
This trip comes after Morocco’s decision to resume Moroccan-Israeli relations, earlier this December.
The plane is scheduled to land shortly at the airport in the Moroccan capital, Rabat, where Israeli officials are expected to hold talks with their Moroccan counterparts.
The delegation’s agenda includes signing economic agreements, as sources told “Sky News Arabia”.
