Gantz: We were not ready for the Coronavirus and will pay for that in lives
Statement comes as Coronavirus cases in Israel soar
Jerusalem24 – The deputy prime minister and minister of the Israeli military Benny Gants stated that Israel was not ready for a way on the Coronavirus. In a speech during the Yum Kippur “These days we face a war in a very different battlefield, we must honestly admit that we were not ready and our healthcare system was lacking”. He continued saying “the price we will pay will be in human lives”.
This comes as Israel is locking down the entire country in an effort to curb the number of Coronavirus cases. Despite that the number of cases in Israel is on the rise. As of September 29th, there are over 233 thousand coronavirus cases, with 1,507 total deaths.
