Palestinian shot by Israeli forces in Nablus dies of wounds
Jerusalem24 – Mohammad Araysheh has died of wounds sustained when he was shot by Israeli forces when they invaded the northern West Bank city of Nablus exactly two weeks ago.
Araysheh, who was in his 20s, was being treated at Rafidia Hospital in Nablus and was declared dead early this morning. His funeral is currently underway in Nablus and is being attended by hundreds.
A comprehensive strike in Nablus was declared in order to mourn Araysheh, and all commercial outlets have been closed.
Araysheh becomes the fourth fatality of the particularly violent Israeli special forces invasion of Nablus on 9 August, during which three Palestinians were killed and 69 were injured with live ammunition.
The three Palestinians killed on the day include fighters Islam Sbbouh and 18-year-old Ibrahim Nabulsi, as well as 16-year-old Hussein Jamal Taha who was on his way to work with his father and younger brother.
