31-year-old Palestinian woman shot and killed by Israeli forces in Hebron
Jerusalem24– The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced this morning the death of 31-year-old Ghufran Haroun Hamed Warasneh after she was shot by Israeli soldiers at the entrance to the Al-Aroub refugee camp north of Hebron.
In a brief statement, the Ministry of Health said that Warasneh was killed after a bullet penetrated her chest from the left side underneath the armpit, exiting through the right side.
The Palestinian Red Crescent stated that Israeli forces obstructed the arrival of ambulance crews to the injured woman for a period of 20 minutes.
Warasneh was transferred to Al-Ahli Hospital in Hebron, where she was pronounced dead.
Jerusalem24 was not able to find any statements relating to the circumstances of her death, and is waiting for further details to be released.
Warasneh was formerly detained in Israeli prisons and was released last April after a three-month detention. She was a radio journalist currently employed at Holom Radio.
