Israeli court rejects petition against cable car project

Jerusalem24 – The Israeli Supreme Court today rejected four petitions against a plan to build a cable car connecting the Old City of occupied East Jerusalem to West Jerusalem.

The judge who presided over the case said that there was no room for judicial intervention in the way in which the institutions were selected or based on the construction plans.

The mayor of the occupation in Jerusalem, Moshe Lion, welcomed the court’s decision and considered that the project would successfully strengthen the presence of cable cars throughout the city, providing Israelis with a permanent line of transportation.
