Palestinians in occupied Jerusalem stand together in support of the schools that teach their children

Jerusalem24 – The situation in Jerusalem has always been difficult for Palestinians, especially when it comes to Palestinian schools. Palestinian schools in the occupied city have been facing problems with funding among other challenges.

Despite all this, a group of Palestinians in Jerusalem have decided to stand together in support of the schools that teach their children.

One of the main aims of the campaign is to raise awareness and bring support to the infrastructure of the schools. The campaign also hopes to raise awareness on the issue of the school curriculums. The Israeli authorities are trying to impose a new curriculum to replace the Palestinian curriculum that has been taught for decades.

Abdel Qader Al-Husseini, the General Director of the Faisal Husseini Foundation says that “the Israelis want to impose a narrative that contradicts the Palestinian narrative, they want us not to study it but to accept it.”

Details on the Faisal Al-Husseini Foundation’s campaign to help Jerusalem schools can be found on their Facebook page, as well as their website. The campaign will continue until the end of May.

In this episode of Wake Up Palestine we talk to Abdel Qader Al-Husseini about the Foundation’s “Buy Time In Jerusalem Schools 2022” campaign.
