Former US Ambassador attacks new White House Press Secretary over AIPAC comments
Jerusalem 24 – Incoming White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, the first black LGBTQ woman to hold the role, has come under fire by former US Ambassador to Israel David M. Friedman for an opinion piece she wrote in Newsweek in 2019 calling the strongly pro-Israel American Israel Public Affairs Committee lobby a “severely racist” organization, and urging Democrats to skip the upcoming AIPAC conference.
Jean-Pierre wrote that “the organization has become known for trafficking in anti-Muslim and anti-Arab rhetoric while lifting up Islamophobic voices and attitudes.”
In a tweet on 7 May, Friedman claimed the statement amounted to “hating Israel”.
Amidst all the celebration of Biden’s new press secretary checking multiple boxes in identity politics, the mainstream media forgot to mention that she hates Israel.https://t.co/Cz9LDUfQi9

Neither Jean-Pierre nor the White House have responded to the criticism as of yet.
