Wake Up Palestine – Palestinians Grabbing Hi-Tech by the Micro-Chip

Jerusalem24 – One of the biggest economic sectors in Israel is the high-tech sector. Israel has often marketed itself as one of the high-tech innovators of the world, with startups happening every day and more developments happening than in a lot of other countries in the world, especially in the region.

Despite all this innovation, Palestinians in Israel have very minuscule participation in this sector.

So lately some people have been talking about the Palestinian and Arab presence in the high-tech sector being very small in Israel. Palestinians generally are around 20% of the population but they’re about 1% of the tech sector in Israel. What’s the reason behind that, do you think?

In this episode of Wake Up Palestine, Rabea Zioud, from Hasoub, speaks to us about Palestinians in the Israeli High-Tech Sector.
