Palestinian worker killed and one police officer injured in Ashkelon

Jerusalem24 – A Palestinian worker from Hebron was killed early today, Tuesday, by Israeli police officers, inside the city of Ashkelon in southern occupied Palestine.

According to the Israeli channel Reshet Kan, the worker (in his forties) stabbed a 37-year-old Israeli police officer. The officer slightly wounded in the arm was transferred to Barzilai Hospital in Ashkelon.

According to the channel, the Israeli police officer asked the worker to show his ID card and work permit, but he stabbed the policeman, who immediately shot the worker.

The channel indicated that the officer was part of an Israeli police patrol searching for Palestinian workers working without permits on construction sites in the area where the incident took place.

The worker was killed on the spot immediately.
