Israeli government forms a committee to impose sanctions on the Palestinians inside
Jerusalem24 – Today, Sunday, the Israeli government approved a proposal for a study on depriving the families of attackers who hold Israeli citizenship of any benefits.
According to the Israeli Walla website, it was decided to form a committee to formulate clear policies within 60 days, regarding the steps to be taken in this context, including withdrawing citizenship, stopping the disbursement of any financial allocations provided by the Israeli government to them, and depriving the perpetrators and their families of any other benefits.
Those recommendations will be submitted by the committee to the government during the period specified for approval.
The proposal was submitted by Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, Foreign Minister Yair Lapid, and Welfare and Social Security Minister Meir Cohen.
At the start of his weekly cabinet meeting, Bennett said, “We are determined to correct the situation and deal with everything that has been neglected for years, and to change the equation so that it is not worth participating in any terrorist attacks.”
“Our government will continue to fight terrorism with all the means at its disposal, and there are no restrictions in this war,” Bennett added.
