Egyptian Delegation to Head to Tel Aviv & Ramallah Within Days

The Egyptian security delegation will convey, during this visit, the factions' conditions for maintaining a state of calm, to officials in the occupation government.

Jerusalem24 – On Thursday, media sources revealed that a delegation from the Egyptian General Intelligence Service will arrive in Tel Aviv and Ramallah within days; In an attempt to maintain a state of security calm and prevent the situation from being drawn into a new escalation.

The London-based Al-Araby Al-Jadeed newspaper quoted unnamed Egyptian sources as saying that the Egyptian security delegation will convey, during this visit, the factions’ conditions for maintaining a state of calm, to officials in the occupation government.

According to the sources, Egyptian-Israeli contacts took place recently regarding the situation in the occupied territories and the Gaza Strip, in which Cairo demanded the importance of starting a dialogue during the coming period regarding launching the peace process between the Palestinians and the occupation government to prevent the situation from deteriorating.

The sources explained that Cairo recommended, during recent high-level contacts, the necessity of launching preliminary dialogues that would discuss the peace process, in parallel with the ongoing meetings and contacts between the occupation government and a number of Arab capitals, regarding the formation of an anti-Iran security-military alliance.

The sources said: “There is an Egyptian vision regarding the Gulf and Israeli concerns towards Iran, related to the need for Arab moves with the occupation government to include a move on the Palestinian issue, in an attempt to limit Tehran’s influence in this file and to withdraw and nullify the effect of its speech on this issue, which comes under the pretext of confronting the Arab rush towards Tel Aviv.

The occupied city of Jerusalem has been witnessing escalating tension for days, in light of the attacks of the occupation soldiers and police on the worshipers and those stationed in the Bab Al-Amoud area, as well as the implementation of raids, arrests, and field executions by the occupation forces in Jenin and other governorates in the occupied West Bank.

The sources pointed out that the resistance factions in Gaza, led by the “Hamas” and “Islamic Jihad” movements, set a set of conditions that the occupation government must abide by, during the contacts made by officials in the Egyptian General Intelligence Service with these factions at the request of these factions. from the Israeli occupation.

At the top of these conditions, according to the sources, was the cessation of all forms of attacks against the residents of Jerusalem and those praying at Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The factions stressed, “Gaza cannot stand the viewer’s stand in front of the attacks, whether against the Palestinians in the West Bank and Jerusalem or at home,” considering that “maintaining the state of calm is conditional on including all Palestinian territories,” according to the newspaper’s sources.
