UNESCO Adopts resolutions for Occupied Jerusalem

Calls for the end of provocations and unilateral procedures against the Al-Aqsa, the Old City and the city walls.

Jerusalem24 – United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization “UNESCO” at its 214th session, held in Paris, unanimously adopted two resolutions for the State of Palestine.

The resolutions call on Israel to stop its provocations and unilateral procedures against “Haram Al-Sharif” or the Al-Aqsa Mosque, the Old City of Jerusalem and its walls. They also called for the speeding up of procedures to dispatch a monitoring mission from UNESCO to Jerusalem to inspect all violations committed by Israel.

The resolution was a result of diplomatic efforts by the Palestinians, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in addition to the Arab and Islamic groups.
