Occupation Authorities Close 28 Palestinian Institutions in Jerusalem

Jerusalem24 – The Israeli occupation authorities renewed the closure of 28 active Palestinian institutions, associations, and bodies in the occupied city of Jerusalem, foremost of which are Orient House and Prisoner’s Club, and other Palestinian institutions in the city.

The occupation authorities announced that they would continue the policy of extending the closure of these institutions, on the pretext that they would not allow the breach of Israeli sovereignty over the “united Jerusalem”, as they claimed.

The announcement came yesterday, Monday, during a joint briefing of the security services and Israeli ministries, the “Home Front Command”, the Ministry of Internal Security, the Intelligence Service, and the occupation municipality in Jerusalem.

The Israeli Ministry of Internal Security warned of the sensitivity of the current situation, especially in the city of Jerusalem, on these days when the month of Ramadan coincides with Jewish holidays, especially the Hebrew Passover.

The ministry said that it, in coordination with all the security, intelligence, and municipal services, is working in East Jerusalem to not be drawn into confrontations that ignite the war like last year. For this purpose, thousands of security personnel have been brought into Jerusalem in both parts to deter any escalation and to enhance the security of the Israelis.
