Gilboa Prisoners: Israeli prosecution demands additional 7 years in prison
Jerusalem24 – The Occupation Prosecution demanded an additional 7 years in prison for the six prisoners of Gilboa, while the Israeli court in Nazareth postponed the trail of the 6 that was set to take place today to April 11, according Israeli media.
The Director-General of the Legal Department of the Prisoners commission, Lawyer Jamil Saadeh, said that “the Occupation Public Prosecution is demanding an additional 7 years imprisonment for the six prisoners, who carried out the escape from Gilboa, and also demanded an additional 5 years imprisonment for the prisoners who provided assistance to them.”
The prosecution request came after indictment list for the 6, which included a charge of prison-break, in which is against Israeli laws.
Deliberations took place regarding the indictment against the six prisoners: Mahmoud Ardah (46 years), from Arrabeh, Jenin district, Yaqoub Qadri (49 years), from Arrabeh Jenin district, Ayham Kammji (35 years), from Kfardan, Munadil Infaat (26). Muhammad Ardah (40 years), from Arrabeh, Jenin district, and Zakaria Zubeidi (45 years), from Jenin.
The indictment attributed to the five prisoners, without Al-Zubaidi, for digging the tunnel, beginning at the end of the year 2020 until last September 6.
