Jerusalem24 – The Hebron Rehabilitation Committee has been dedicated to preserving, restoring, and celebrating the important cultural and social history of the old city of Hebron.
They do this by improving the living conditions for the Palestinian population by restoring homes, enabling unity between the Old City and the new one, and providing various services to enhance living and working conditions.
In the past, we have spoken of the challenges that the committee has faced. Since then, the situation has only gotten worse as Israel has prohibited any work from being done on the Ibrahimi Mosque. Pushing the Hebron Rehabilitation Committee to send a letter of complaint to UNESCO, which recognized the mosque as a World Heritage Site.
