Jerusalem24 – Thousands of Israeli settlers stormed Jospeh’s Tomb at dawn today in Nablus near the Balata refugee camps. The settlers were under protection of the Israeli military.
Local sources reported that more than buses loaded with settlers arrived in the vicinity of the tomb before midnight, and continued to do so until dawn.
Israeli forces were heavily deployed in the vicinity of the area, sparking limited confrontations with Palestinian residents.
The settlers raised the Israeli flag, danced and performed rituals in the area.
According to Israeli media, more than 3,000 settlers stormed Joseph’s tomb. They were accompanied by Israeli members of the Knesset, such as Simcha Rotman, Itamar Ben-Gvir and Moshe Abbotbol. The head of the settlements council in the northern West Bank Yossi Dagan was also present.
