A Childhood Administratively Detained
Amal Orrabi has turned 18 while being held for 16 months without charge or trial.
Jerusalem24 – Amal Muammar Orrabi has been under administrative detention for nearly two years.
Despite the difficult health conditions he suffers due to severe muscular disease, the Israeli authorities insist on continuing his detention.
Israel issued against him four administrative detention orders, the duration of each order is four Months.
The Palestinian Prisoners’ Club said that Amal needs active health follow-up, however, the Israeli prisons administration claims that it provides treatment. Yet, the symptoms appearing on him confirm the opposite.
Amal has turned 18 while being held under Israel’s administrative detention policy. There are three other minors being held under the same policy. Mahmoud Ghassan Mansour from Jenin, Wadih Muhammad Hadid from Tulkarm, and Sami Al-Harimi from Bethlehem.
It is noteworthy that Amal was arrested on January 21, 2021, 40 days after his release from the first arrest.
In this context, the Palestinian Prisoners Club confirmed that the administrative detainees continue their boycott of the Israeli courts as part of their confrontation with the policy of administrative detention.
