A German outlook on Palestine

Jerusalem24 – Germany is one of the biggest donors for the Palestinians. In 2021, the Government of Germany supported Palestinian refugees through the KfW Development Bank supported the United Nations Relief Workers’ Agency with EUR 25 million.
By the end of the year, the German government has provided the Palestinian people with a total of EUR 280 million. With the goal to improve the the living conditions and support development efforts and build Palestinian institutions that are accountable in a Palestinian state.
However, financial aid wasn’t the only actions that Germany has undertaken. Germany also supports Palestinian institutions and projects, they also aim to be viable partners in the region.
The German Representative was also among many representatives of European Member states that stood by in the Sheikh Jarrah Neighborhood as the Israeli police and municipality of the occupied city of Jerusalem attempted to demolish the Salihya home.
