Israel announced seizure 400-square-meter plot of land in Al-Isawiya
Jerusalem24 – Today, Sunday, the Israeli authorities announced the seizure of a plot of land in the town of Al-Isawiya, northeast of occupied Jerusalem.
Local sources in Jerusalem reported that the municipality notified Jerusalemite Ali Derbas, that they are seizing a 400-square-meter plot of land he owns in the center of Al-Isawiya.
Derbas said that about two years ago, the Israeli municipality came and placed a notice to seize the land, claiming that it has been a public square since the nineties. He stressed that he did not know of the seizure of his land all these years, except when the Israeli municipality placed a sign in it, claiming It is a public square.
there were also plans to build a school there. He indicated that he fought legal battles with the municipality, but to no avail.
He added, that he has owned papers for the plot of land since 1980, and will resubmit them to the Israeli court tomorrow in an attempt to appeal this decision.
