Israeli authorities seize 40 dunums in the town of Al-Khader, South of Bethlehem

The notice of seizure

Jerusalem24 – The Israeli military notified residents in the town of Al-Khader, South of Bethlehem, the seizure of 40 dunums of land (9.8 acres).

The Mayof of Al-Khader, Mohammad Musa, told Ma’an that the decision stipulates the seizure of an area of land in the Ein Kassis area; west of the town. He added that the seizure was to erect iron gates on agricultural roads leading to the settlement outpost of Sidi Boaz.

Musa added that this decision will deprive the people of the town from accessing their lands which are already being targeted by settlers.

He also explained that this is an attempt to annex lands that have not been reclaimed and cultivated by their owners for several years.

Musa called on the authorities to intervene to stop what he described as a “massacre” that the lands of the town of Al-Khader have been subjected to in recent years through seizures and settlement expansion.
