Israel closes off the entrance to Palestinian village

Israeli settlers march demanding return to evacuated settlement

Jerusalem24 – This morning, Thursday, the Israeli military closed off all the entrances to the village of Burqa with earth mounds as hundreds of Israeli settlers arrive at the evacuated Homesh settlement northwest of Nablus.

Ghassan Daghlas, who follows up the settlement file in the northern occupied West Bank said that the Israeli military deployed dozens of soldiers in the vicinity of the village and at the entrances to Homesh, where a settler was killed and two others were wounded last week.

Daghlas confirmed that the Israeli forces declared the road connecting the towns of Silat Al-Daher and Deir Sharaf are closed military zones from 11:00AM  until 08:00 PM in order to secure the settlers’ march who are protesting the killing of the settler and demanding a return to the settlement of Homesh.
