JICA Palestine and Refugee Camp Improvement

Jerusalem24 – The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) is advancing its activities around the pillars of a field-oriented approach, human security, and enhanced effectiveness, efficiency, and speed.

In this episode of VIBES, Mona Hijjawi was Joined by Mr. Hoshi, Senior Representative of JICA Palestine Office to talk about the Online Origami Session between Japanese kids and Palestinian refugee kids and the story of Rita that was the inspiration, we also discussed with Mr. Hoshi (PALCIP-I) which set up a Camp Improvement Forum (CIF) involving various kinds of stakeholders in the camp as well as the popular committee members for the purpose of participatory and inclusive planning for camp improvement. The CIF enabled to reflect wider voices of the population to camp improvement activities that currently being planned and implemented by DoRA and popular committees. Mr. Hoshi gave us a glimpse about the JICA technical cooperation project (PALCIP-II) as well and explained the importance of camp improvement.
