Israel forces family to demolish three homes in Silwan

Jerusalem24 – The Israeli authorities forced the Nassar family to demolish three homes they own in the Wadi Qaddoum neighborhood in the town of Silwan, South of the Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem.

Mohammad Nassar, a member of the affected family said that the land on which these houses are owned belong to his father who bought it 40 years ago.

He added that over the past few years, they have been subjected to harassment by the Israeli authorities who claim that the land is seized for what they called public utilities.

The family was forced to demolish their home, otherwise they will have to cover the cost of the demolition of 80 thousand shekels.

He added that the authorities handed his family a decision to evict, otherwise they will bear the cost of the demolition, which is 80,000 shekels (over 25 thousand USD).
