Wake Up Palestine – Palestine’s Danish Friends in Europe

Jerusalem24 – Denmark and Palestine have a long history of cooperation and partnership. In this episode of Wake Up Palestine, Mohammad Hamayel hosts the Danish Ambassador to the Palestinian territories Kertil Karlsen.

In this special episode, Karlsen gives his take on the political situation in the Palestinian territories and ways of moving forward.

They also discuss Denmark’s role in supporting the United Nations Relief Worker’s Agency that supports Palestinian refugees, as well as other programs that aim to help develop Palestine.

Denmark has contributed to programs that call for wider democratization of the territories from active citizenship to good governance. Not to forget mentioning a green and sustainable economy  and creating opportunities for Palestinian women and youth.

They also discuss the Political situation further. Such as multilateral peace talks that involve sponsorship from more than one international actor.

They also talk about settlement expansion and house demolitions in occupied East Jerusalem, and the cancelled Palestinian National Elections as well as the local municipal elections that took place earlier this week.
