Israeli Military storms Palestinian University
The soldiers assaulted the campus security and one student was injured with a rubber coated steel bullet.

Jerusalem24 – The Israeli military stormed the Bir Zeit University Campus, located about 11 kms northwest of Ramallah.
Eyewitnesses reported that the Israelis imposed a military cordon on the university from all of its entrances before storming the campus.
According to a statement by the university itself, the Israeli military entered the campus grounds assaulting the university guards and vandalized its contents. One student was injured by a rubber coated steel bullet and another was arrested from his home in the village of Kufur Ni’ma.
The universities’ statement condemned the intrusion and considered it a “violation of all norms and conventions that criminalize attacks on academic and health facilities.”

The Palestinian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research also condemned the attack and called on the International Union of Universities, the Union of Arab Universities and all International and Human Rights institutions to “expose these violations and attacks against educational institutions.”
This wasn’t the first time the Israeli army stormed the university. In the early hours of June 19th in 2014, Israeli forces also raided the campus grounds.
